Alternating Cheetah Print Nail Art!

Yesterday I promised you some nail art.... So today I have some! These are not my nails (obviously), they are my little sister's! She never ever ever lets me do her nails, so I was very excited to do these, even though it took a lot of convincing! Here we go...!

We started off doing alternating nails with Korres Lavender and Pure Ice Platinum Magic Base Coat. Lavender only took 1 coat, and the Pure Ice took 2 coats, which is great for a white! Next, I freehanded the pink and blue spots with the rubber end of a bobby pin and Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink and Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. Next, I used a Kiss Nailart Pen in Black to finish up the cheetah print. I finished up the manicure with a coat of Seche Vite.

Now, if it looks a little messy to you.... She refused to let me clean up around the edges! So I'm sorry for that mess. She also moved around a lot... But hey, atleast she let me do her nails!

I hope you liked the nail art! Thanks for reading!

Transform Your Nails With VINYL REMIX: Post 4

Hello! Today is the last post showing you the Pure Ice Vinyl Remix! I will be showing you an actual on-the-nail swatch today! Let's get to it!

I started off with base coat, and then used 2 coats of Pure Ice Platinum Magic Base Coat. I really, really like this white! It's awesome! It has a really good formula and the 2 coats is really good for a white polish! Plus, I have 2 bottles of it! Next, I painted on Glam Rock (pink) and Rock Star (blue) on the nail in random patterns. I didn't use topcoat. Here's the finished look:

Now, does something look a little missing to you? Like the color? Yeah, I thought so too! The color was really, really light and faint on the nail... What's up with that? It looked normal on the paper I tried it on... It looked normal on all of the other blogs I saw it on??? So what did I do wrong? I have no idea.

Here's my though on the product:

I think that Pure Ice Vinyl Remix is really cool! I love the idea! I think that the Platinum Magic Base Coat is an awesome white, and I think that the finished affect is really cool! Even if the colors didn't show up as well as I liked... Because honestly (some people will hate me for saying this), I'm not that burnt out on the crackle effect yet. I think that this is a good product, and is really ideal for younger people wanting to try come crazy (yet easy) nail art.

Thanks for reading! And thank you to Pure Ice for letting me review the product!

Transfrom Your Nails With VINYL REMIX: Post 3

Hey! Today I will be showing you some swatches of Pure Ice VINYL REMIX! I recieved two of the sets to review! Each set of Vinyl Remix comes with a white creme base (called Platinum Magic Base Coat), the actual Vinyl Remix, and a free nail file (shaped like a vinyl record).

I recieved Vinyl Remix in Glam Rock (turns the white base pink and crackles black) and Rock Star (turns the white base blue and crackles black). If you want to see actual bottle shots, click here. If you want to read more about Vinyl Remix, click here. I figured I should get the links out of the way, just in case anyone has questions! :)

I started out by painting 2 coats of the Platinum Magic Base Coat on a piece of paper. It only takes 2 coats to be opaque, which is pretty good! I have also tried PMBC on the nail (I will be posting that soon), and it does take 2 coats on the nail also. Just to clear things up. Next, I painted Glam Rock and Rock Star on top of the PMBC and let the Vinyl Remix do it's magic. Here's what I came up with...

A: 2 coats of PMBC followed by 1 coat of Rock Star
B: 2 coats of PMBCfollowed by 1 coat of Glam Rock
C: 2 coats of PMBC followed by Rock Star and Glam Rock being randomly painted on top.
D: 2 coats of PMBC followed by Rock Star and Glam Rock being splotched randomly on top (same as C).
E: 2 coats of PMBC followed by 1 very thin coat of Glam Rock followed by 1 very thin coat of Rock Star.

So there it is! The paper swatches of Pure Ice Vinyl Remix! I will have some actual nail designs up on the blog soon! Thanks for reading!

Transform Your Nails with VINYL REMIX: Post 2

Here I am, the 2nd post of my VINYL REMIX semi-series thing.... I don't know what you would call it. But anyway, onto the good, cool, and awesome stuff! Today's post is going to be short, but fun! I'm going to show you the package I recieved my Pure Ice Vinyl Remix in, and of course, the Vinyl Remix!

My package that I received came nicely wrapped with four polishes inside! I received 2 Platinum Magic Base Coats, 1 bottle of Rock Star (black crackle and turns the base blue), and 1 bottle of Glam Rock (black crackle and turns the base pink). It was pretty awesome! In addition, I got 2 record shaped nail files. I will have more about those later in my actual review posts...

On my text Vinyl Remix post I will be showing you some paper-swatches of the Vinyl Remix!

Thank you so much for reading!

Transform Your Nails with VINYL REMIX: Post 1

Bari Cosmetics is proud to announce the release of Pure Ice Vinyl Remix- nail enamels for the adventurous girl that doesn't mind a surprise! Vinyl Remix is the next generation of Crackle nail enamels, which create a "cracked" effect on the nails.

Here's the "remix": Vinyl Remix only reveals your color after it dries. The first step is applying the Platinum Magic Base Coat. Then, you use one of the Vinyl Remix enamels on top. When the polishes dry, the white base is transformed into a mystery color with a black Crackle design on top. It's the crackle we all know and love- but with a surprising twist!

As with all Pure Ice Nail Enamels, the Vinyl Remix collection is free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP and contain Bari Cosmetics' patented salon long wear formula. Best of all, besides the Platinum Magic Base Coat and Vinyl Remix Crackle enamel, the set also includes a free nail file and a free song download, all for $6.49!

Avaliable in:
  • Rave (orange)
  • Glam Rock (pink)
  • Emcee Me (yellow)
  • DJ Spinner (green)
  • Rock Star (blue)
  • Vintage Remix (purple)
