Haul #3- Nail Polish from Oklahoma City!

Hello everyone! Today I'll be showing you all of the nail polish I hauled when I was in Oklahoma City this past week! Here in a few days, I'll be showing you all of the clothes I bought! So here ya go!

First up is this Wet n Wild Set that I got at Walgreens in OKC! It was only $9.99! That is a great deal, considering all the polishes seperate would be around $25! Plus, the colors are awesome, even though they're basic! This would be a really good thing to purchase if you are just beginning to get involved with nail polish!

Top Row (all Wet n Wild): I Need a Refresh-Mint, Wet Cement, I Red a Good Book, On a Trip

Bottom Row (also all Weet n Wild): The Wonder Yellows, FuchsiaRama, 9.0.2.1. Orange, Sage in the City

The next part of my haul is some various polishes from various brands! The Sinful Colors was from Walgreens from the 99 Cent Sale, and is one of Sinful Colors' new shades. The other three were from Ulta! The China Glaze rang up for $3, the Sally Hansen at $2.57 (I think?), and the Essence at 49 Cents!

Sinful Colors Rain Storm, China Glaze Electric Beat, Sally Hansen Sun Kissed, Essence Absolutely Stylish

So, did you enjoy another one of my hauls? I know that I did! However, I think that I've been buying a little bit too much polish lately.... Therefore, I'm going on a no-buy! There will be a few exceptions... If I see something that I really want, or if I see something limited edition! My no-buy is going to be until the end of September! Yikes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween-themed nail polish, so my no-buy will be over in time for October, and the awesome Halloween polish! So whenever I feel like I am needing some polish, I just have to remember that I'm saving up for Halloween! Good inspiration, huh?

Which of these polishes do you want to see on Caroline's Nails? Do you ever go on no-buys? Do you like Halloween-themed nail polish? Leave a comment! I want to know!

Thanks for reading!

I'm Back from OKC! With a Pro Mani!

Hello dear followers! I'm back from my trip to Oklahoma City! I had a great time shopping, but I'm glad to be home and back to regular posting! I missed you guys! While I was in Oklahoma City, I got my nails done at a salon! I just felt like it.... So I did! Here's what they came up with....

They used 2 coats of Orly Melt Your Popsicle, with the flowers freehanded with a white creme (I can't remember what brand) and OPI Did it On Em. This is all with base and top coat! The top photo is with flash, and the bottom photo is without flash.

As you can see, is it the best manicure? No! I can see some VNL (visible nail line) in both of the pictures! I also hate the way that the lady squared my nails! I really don't like my nails that square to begin with, but I really hated the way they cut my talons! This manicure only lasted 2 days also! Oh well, I probably would have taken it off at that point anyway.... I think I do a better job than the ladies at the salon, lol. :)

So that's my "Pro Mani!". Do you ever get your nails done professionally even though you're perfectly capable of doing your own nails? Haha, thanks for reading!

Pumpkins in July! (NOTD & Update)

Hello everyone! As most of you know, I'm in Oklahoma City right now on a mini vacation! It's more of a shopping trip, really! I've been buying a lot, which is fun! I've bought a decent amount of nail polish, along with some shoes, clothes, and accesories! Fun!

Because I've been busy on my trip, I haven't got the opportunity to check my blog that much... When I left, I had 9 followers, and now I have 13 followers! So hello to my new followers! This is all thanks to Sarah at Starlight Radiance! I was featured in her latest "New to Me Nail Blogs" post! You can check it out here! Thank you so much Sarah! *waves* :)

Now, you may be wondering about the title.... Pumpkins in July! Well you read correctly! Today, I will be showing you the NOTD that I wore on my way out to Oklahoma City! This is 3 coats of Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Creepy Pumpkin with base/top coat. It's a really cool orange jelly glitter polish! However, I had some strange pooling with this polish... I was in a hurry, so I bet that was my problem. Anyway, I can't wait for this year's Fantasy Maker's collection! Halloween is the best time of the year for polish and makeup!

That's all I have for today! I'm going to be back home from Oklahoma on Monday, then I will be back on a regular posting schedule, and showing you all of the stuff I hauled on my trip! As always, thanks for reading!

Pink Glittery Zebras....?

Yes, you read the title right... Pink glittery zebras... I think yes!!! I really love this manicure! It was so much fun to create! :)

Oh, and I recently hit 9 followers! Yay! :) *happy dances*

You may recognize the pointer and middle finger nails... That's because they were popularized by Sarah of Chalkboard Nails! I really like this trend!

Here's what I used on each nail, all of then are with base/top coat just to get that out of the way.

Pointer and Middle: 2 coats of OPI Sparrow Me the Drama stamped with Wet n Wild Black Creme and BM-223.
Thumb, Ring, and Pinky: 1 coat of OPI Sparrow Me the Drama followed by 3 coats of Wet n Wild Sparked (a pink and silver glitter).

I really like this manicure, a lot! Now that we got the nail stuff out of the way, we have some stuff to talk about... I'm going to Oklahoma City for the next week.... So I don't know if I will be able to post or not. I'm really sorry if I don't post (please don't unfollow me). But I will try my best to post!

Anyway, I better be going! Thanks for reading!

Haul #2

Hello to my awesome followers! Today, I don't have a nail-related post. I have a haul. A jewelry haul! I'm really into jewelry, makeup, clothes, and fashion... So you will be seeing some of that around my blog. However, nails are my favorite, so you will continue to see the most nail posts out of anything!

Okay, these two pieces of jewelry are from Pacific Sunwear, also known as Pacsun! The necklace was $10.50. And as always, their jewelry was buy one get one 50% off. Therefore, I got the earrings for $4.25! Awesome, huh?

Here's 2 more pairs of earrings, and they are both from Claire's! Claire's is having a really good deal on some of their accessories right now... I got both of these for $1 each! Isn't that great?

Now, this is polish related! It's a bottle of Wet n Wild by Fergie in Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night! It's black glitter with gold hexes! Legit! I got this at Walgreens for $3.49!

So, what do you think? Is it a good haul? I thought so!!! Did you like seeing something other than nail polish? Post a comment and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading! :)

My First Skittles Manicure!

EDIT: This is my 50th post! Happy day! I feel so accomplished! :)

Hello everyone! I now have 8 followers! Yay! :)

Today, I have an awesome manicure to show you! This is probably the best manicure that I have ever done, so I'm really proud of it! I can't wait to show you! Here are the polishes I used...

Nails Inc Highgate, Nails Inc The Southbank, OPI Planks A Lot, Wet n Wild Black Creme, Spoiled (by Wet n Wild) Jewelry Heist

And here's the SKITTLES!

This is what I did on each finger.... Each finger has base coat and top coat on it. Just to get that out of the way.
  • Thumb: 2 coats of OPI Planks a Lot and 2 coats of Spoiled Jewelry Heist
  • Pointer: 2 coats of Nails Inc The Southbank, stamped with Wet n Wild Black Creme and BM-205.
  • Middle: 2 coats of Nails Inc Highgate, dotted with Wet n Wild Black Creme and a bobby pin
  • Ring: 2 coats of OPI Planks a Lot and 2 coats of Spoiled Jewelry Heist
  • Pinky: 2 coats of Nails Inc The Southbank, dotted with Wet n Wild Black Creme and a bobby pin

Don't you like this nail design? I'm in love with it! I actually wore it for 3 days, which was awesome! I have a funny story to go along with this manicure... I was at Walgreens picking up a few nail essentials and the lady and the beauty counter checked me out and then we got to talking about eyeshadow. What beauty blogger doesn't want to talk about makeup? Then she asked about my nails and how I did all of it! I swear we talked for like 15 minutes! It was really cool, and she was really sweet! :)

So that's my first "skittles" manicure, I hope you liked it! I know that I sure did!

Thanks for reading!

Alternating Cheetah Print Nail Art!

Yesterday I promised you some nail art.... So today I have some! These are not my nails (obviously), they are my little sister's! She never ever ever lets me do her nails, so I was very excited to do these, even though it took a lot of convincing! Here we go...!

We started off doing alternating nails with Korres Lavender and Pure Ice Platinum Magic Base Coat. Lavender only took 1 coat, and the Pure Ice took 2 coats, which is great for a white! Next, I freehanded the pink and blue spots with the rubber end of a bobby pin and Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink and Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. Next, I used a Kiss Nailart Pen in Black to finish up the cheetah print. I finished up the manicure with a coat of Seche Vite.

Now, if it looks a little messy to you.... She refused to let me clean up around the edges! So I'm sorry for that mess. She also moved around a lot... But hey, atleast she let me do her nails!

I hope you liked the nail art! Thanks for reading!

Korres Lavender and Sephora Twinkle Twinkle (NOTD)

Hello everyone! I'm really excited, because I have 7 followers! I know it's not a big deal at all for a lot of the bloggers that have thousands and thousands of followers, but it's a big deal for me! My goal is to have 10-15 followers by the end of July... Do you think I can do it? Can you help me?

Haha, anyway, today I have one of my recent NOTDs to share with you! Both the Korres and the Sephora were from my recent trip to Europe! The Korres is from Greece (Korres is based in Athens), and the Sephora is from France! You can look at my other polishes from Europe here. I'm kind of mad at myself for not getting more of the Korres polishes... This was one coat! Isn't that awesome, especially for a pastel?!?

Products I used:
  • Essie Grow Faster (base coat)
  • Korres Lavender (one coat)
  • Sephora Twinkle Twinkle (one coat)
  • Seche Vite (top coat)
Thank you so much for reading! Tomorrow I have a treat for you... Some nail art! See ya soon!

Transform Your Nails With VINYL REMIX: Post 4

Hello! Today is the last post showing you the Pure Ice Vinyl Remix! I will be showing you an actual on-the-nail swatch today! Let's get to it!

I started off with base coat, and then used 2 coats of Pure Ice Platinum Magic Base Coat. I really, really like this white! It's awesome! It has a really good formula and the 2 coats is really good for a white polish! Plus, I have 2 bottles of it! Next, I painted on Glam Rock (pink) and Rock Star (blue) on the nail in random patterns. I didn't use topcoat. Here's the finished look:

Now, does something look a little missing to you? Like the color? Yeah, I thought so too! The color was really, really light and faint on the nail... What's up with that? It looked normal on the paper I tried it on... It looked normal on all of the other blogs I saw it on??? So what did I do wrong? I have no idea.

Here's my though on the product:

I think that Pure Ice Vinyl Remix is really cool! I love the idea! I think that the Platinum Magic Base Coat is an awesome white, and I think that the finished affect is really cool! Even if the colors didn't show up as well as I liked... Because honestly (some people will hate me for saying this), I'm not that burnt out on the crackle effect yet. I think that this is a good product, and is really ideal for younger people wanting to try come crazy (yet easy) nail art.

Thanks for reading! And thank you to Pure Ice for letting me review the product!

Haul #1

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday, I was really busy! But I had fun, and that's all that counts, right? Right!

Haha, anyway... I've been doing a little hauling lately! I've noticed that some bloggers make haul posts, so I thought that I would join in on the fun! I have 8 polishes to share with you today, and I've accumulated them at 3 different places! I'll tell you as I go...

Cos Bar at Target Bronze. Milani HD, Spoiled Jewelry Heist, Spoiled My Saturn Broke Down

Cos Bar at Target Bronze is obviously from Target. If you didn't know, Target is having a summer promo where they have different shops come in for "The Shops at Target". Cos Bar was the cosmetic shop, and they had a total of four polishes! Bronze was the only one that looked interesting and unique to me, so I bought it! It was only $3! You can check out Cos Bar at Target here.

The other 3 polishes were from CVS! I got Milani HD from their 3D Holographic collection, it's my first "real" holo! I also picked up 2 of the Spolied by Wet n Wild polsihes, which are exclusive to CVS! I got Jewelry Heist because it was a really unique looking glitter (it will probably be up on the blog soon...). I also got My Saturn Broke Down (what an interesting name). In the bottle, it looks like a dupe, or very close to a dupe of OPI Last Friday Night. I only got the mini package of the Katy Perry Collection, and I loved Last Friday Night so much that I'm almost out! Therefore, I got the cheaper and more widely avaliable alternative!

OPI Bronzed to Perfection, China Glaze Near Dark, Essie Da Bush, Orly Rage

Ah, my haul from Ulta! Now this trip to Ulta was a very exciting one! These four polishes, well I got them for less than $9! OPI Bronzed to Perfection is from the 2009 South Beach Spring/Summer Collection. I obviously got this on sale, or $3.99! Nothing like a half-priced OPI! China Glaze Near Dark is from the 2021 Haunting Halloween Collection. When I saw the swatches for this collection last year, I really wanted Near Dark... but I couldn't find it. So I was overjoyed when I found this for $1.99! Now, the Essie! When the OPI Pirates collection came out last year, I got the mini set. Later on, I went to Ulta to get full bottles of Skull and Glossbones and Stranger Tides. However, they didn't have Stranger Tides, so I walked out with Skull and Glossbones and Steady As She Rose. Recently, I found out that OPI Stranger Tides and Essie Da Bush were duplicates of eachother, and then I found the Essie at Ulta! Yay! And for $1.99 too! Last is Orly Rage! This little baby, I got it for free! It was a Seventeen Reader Award for reading the magazine, yes! :) There's nothing like free nail polish... Remember this post? They didn't have any of those colors. :(

And that's my haul!!! I hope you enjoyed looking at and reading about my new little treasures! Are there any of these polishes that you really what to see? If there is, leave me a comment and I can swatch it! As always, thanks for reading!

This is base coat, 2 coats of Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus (it was almost opaque in one coat!), 1 coat of Sephora Purple Jewelry, and then a coat of Seche Vite. I won the Nails Inc in a giveaway, and the Sephora is from France! Awesome, huh?

That's it for today! Not too exciting. Oh well, haha! Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow!

Transfrom Your Nails With VINYL REMIX: Post 3

Hey! Today I will be showing you some swatches of Pure Ice VINYL REMIX! I recieved two of the sets to review! Each set of Vinyl Remix comes with a white creme base (called Platinum Magic Base Coat), the actual Vinyl Remix, and a free nail file (shaped like a vinyl record).

I recieved Vinyl Remix in Glam Rock (turns the white base pink and crackles black) and Rock Star (turns the white base blue and crackles black). If you want to see actual bottle shots, click here. If you want to read more about Vinyl Remix, click here. I figured I should get the links out of the way, just in case anyone has questions! :)

I started out by painting 2 coats of the Platinum Magic Base Coat on a piece of paper. It only takes 2 coats to be opaque, which is pretty good! I have also tried PMBC on the nail (I will be posting that soon), and it does take 2 coats on the nail also. Just to clear things up. Next, I painted Glam Rock and Rock Star on top of the PMBC and let the Vinyl Remix do it's magic. Here's what I came up with...

A: 2 coats of PMBC followed by 1 coat of Rock Star
B: 2 coats of PMBCfollowed by 1 coat of Glam Rock
C: 2 coats of PMBC followed by Rock Star and Glam Rock being randomly painted on top.
D: 2 coats of PMBC followed by Rock Star and Glam Rock being splotched randomly on top (same as C).
E: 2 coats of PMBC followed by 1 very thin coat of Glam Rock followed by 1 very thin coat of Rock Star.

So there it is! The paper swatches of Pure Ice Vinyl Remix! I will have some actual nail designs up on the blog soon! Thanks for reading!

My Haul from Europe!!!

If you've been following me since June, then you know that I went on a 3 week trip during June. If you haven't been following me since June, now you know that I went on a 3 week trip to Europe during June! Haha, I went to France, Italy, and Greece! Today, I will be showing you the nail polishes that I got on that trip!

Sadly, I only bought four polishes on my trip! I really thought (and wished) that I would have bought more, but I really didn't have a lot of time to go polish shopping or hunting. However, the four polishes that I got are all wonderful!

Sephora Purple Jewelry, Sephora Twinkle Twinkle, Claire's Unnamed, Korres Lavender 76.

I got the two Sephoras in Chartres, France. I have no idea if these are available in the United States or not. I just saw these two flakie top coats and knew that I had to have them! I also got the Unnamed Claire's in Chartres. It is red, white, and blue glitter. France's flag has the same color's as the United States' flag, so I used it for the 4th of July! Check out the post here. I got the Korres in Athens, where Korres originated! I've played around with it and it seems very, very opaque. I kind of wish that I had bought more Korres nail polishes, considering I have never seen them in the States, but oh well.

There you have it, the four polishes I got on my trip to Europe! I hope you enjoyed! Do you want to see any of these soon on the blog? Leave a comment and I'll deliver! Thanks for reading!

Nails Inc St. Peters (NOTD)

Hello everyone! Today I'm taking a break from showing you the Pure Ice Vinyl Remix, and I will be showing you a Nails Inc polish! I won this in a giveaway by Wendy from Wendy's Delights! She has an awesome blog, beautiful nails, and also keeps me (and others) up to date about what giveaways are going on in the nail world! You should check her blog out if you you're not following her already!

Anyway, the polish I am showing you today is Nails Inc St. Peters. I started with base coat, then started on my first coat of the Nails Inc... And I'm in love! It was almost opaque in the first coat, however it did need a second coat to even everything out... but I didn't mind! I finished up with a coat of Seche Vite!

St. Peters is a lovely red, maybe even with a little hint of orange/coral in there! It's not a creme, it does have a very subtle shimmer that is beautiful! The amazing application and pretty color make for a pretty awesome polish! Gotta love it!

Thank you so much for reading! See ya next time!

A Quick Question for my Followers.....

Yes, I know... I only have 3 followers... But maybe one of you will answer this! I am subscribed to Seventeen Magazine, and in the most recent issue I recieved there is a gift... For a free nail polish!

I was so excited! I get a Free Mini Orly Nail Polish! I can pick between the colors: Nite Owl, Peachy Parrot, Sweet Peacock, or Fowl Play. These are all from the Fall 2011 Birds of a Feather Collection. I already own Fowl Play (does anyone want to see that soon?). I don't really think I want Peachy Parrot because it is a pink/orange frost. So that leaves me to pick between Nite Owl and Sweet Peacock. I can't choose! Maybe you can!

Check out the swatches at Scrangie or The PolishAholic and tell me what you think!

Thanks for reading and I can't wait to hear which polish I should get!

4th of July 2012! (NOTD & TOTD)

Hello! It's July 4th, America's Independence Day! It's late right now, and all of the annual festivities are over. It was a great night of parties, cook-outs, fireworks, flag-themed outfits, and of course... nails!

Today, I have a treat, I will be showing both a manicure and a pedicure! But first, let me show you the four polishes that I used.

From left to right: Sonia Kashuk Rescue Me, Wet n Wild French White Creme, Ulta Professional The Skinny, Claire's Unnamed.

More about the Unnamed Claire's polish... I got this nail polish in France during my trip! France's flag has the same colors as the United States, so I thought I would get this polish! It's very festive and patriotic... Perfect for the 4th of July!

FEET PICTURES BELOW! FEET PICTURES BELOW! IF FEET GROSS YOU OUT... SCROLL VERY FASTLY!

Haha, these were my toes for the 4th! I used 2 coats of Ulta Professional The Skinny, and then 2 coats of the Claire's Glitter!

Now, for the fingers! I'm actually showing both of my hands in these! On my thumbs and ring fingers, I used 2-3 coats of Wet N Wild French White Creme. On my normal fingers on my left hand, I wore 2 coats of Sonia Kashuk Rescue Me. On my normal fingers on my right hand, I wore two coats of Ulta Professional The Skinny. On all my fingers, I topped them off with 2 coats of the Claire's Unnamed Glitter! An easy and awesome patriotic manicure!

Thank you for reading! I hope that you had a wonderful and safe 4th of July, if you celebrate it! :)

Nail Mail #1 :)

First of all... I have to start off and apologize for my absense during the past 6 days. I have been suffering from some MAJOR MAJOR jet lag. I'm talking about going to bed at 4 am, waking up at 3 pm. Then going to bed at 11 or 12 pm and waking up at 5, 6, or 7 am. It was horrible! And I was tired the whole day, but I couldn't fall back asleep! It was horrible. Finally today, on Monday, I am feeling better! So I'm posting! I am very sorry that I have neglected my blog for this past week. Now, who's ready for some nail mail?

This package is from Wendy from Wendy's Delights! I won her 50 Follower and Bloggiversary Giveaway! I got hooked up with some awesome Nails Inc. polishes, all the way from England! First, let's look at the awesome package and the stages I opened it in! And of course, my address is blackened out... But everyone already knows I live in the United States.

Looks awesome, huh? Now wait until you see what was inside! Yay!

Awesome, huh? The polishes are all Nails Inc, and from left to right are: Highgate, The Southbank, St. James, Maddox Street, Elizabeth Street, Piccadilly Circus. I've never tried out Nails Inc, but I know that a ton of other nail bloggers love it, and I'm sure I'll join them! I'm pretty sure that I see some more Nails Inc joining my collection in the future!

Anyway, I apologize for being missing the past week! You will definitely see more of me now that my jet lag is over! Love you all, and thanks for reading!
